I don't know if any 4 year university actually has a 4 year undergrad program in Herpetology. I would recommend choosing a school with a good bio program, and major in General Bio, ecology, zoology, or a similar 'basic' bio major. Look for schools that have herp-oriented professors that you could do undergrad research with. I'm currently a sophomore at the Florida Institute of Technology doing exactly this and its great training!
