hello...well i'm not so sure that this is the correct answer but it's all ive figured out [i had the very same question and was about to post untill i read yours and figured i'd ask here too]. I didnt think to ask on this forum until 2 days ago about what was the best path to take to be a herpetologist. Untill this however, ive been doing this. Not knowing what school was the best and being a senior in high school...i decided to go to my local community college..in miami, which like alot of community college are really very good. I'm getting my Associates in biology there...which let me warn you is mostly chem classes as frist...so be good at chemestry! Trust me on that one. Then i am taking a biology and zoology class. Since i know u need something for sure in biology. I was then going to post a topic similar to this one and ask what to take and where to go after my 2 years at community college. i am pretty sure if you go to your local zoo...and ask to talk with someone that is in in herpetology they will tell you how they got there. Or any herp societies in your area. Ive been thinking about the zoo thing and am going next week. But i'd be interested to hear someone who knows for sure answer to this post...so people reading this that know...POST! theres alot of us aspiring herpetologist that are kinda like..." uh..where to go now" Thnaks...byebye.
