Herpetology/Biology/Zoology?

I'm planning on majoring/graduating in herpetology or something related. Please e-mail me w/ info on how you started, and where the good schools to major in that. Maybe in the Washington D.C. area? I'm assuming you start out in biology then specialize in Herpetology? E-mail me or post info here if you can. Any info is greatly appreciated.
