shipping a snake to canada, need a license???

Hi all,

I want to Mexican Black kingsnake to Newfoundland Canada, do I need a CITES permit for that? I dont think it's on the CITES list. I'm just wondering because a guy in this forum said he wanted to get a boa from Canada shipped to him, and he needed a license for it.
